The retro-inspired phone is available for pre-order at $400, with mass production planned for September.

If the Q25 Pro is well received, Zinwa may expand its revival project to other BlackBerry models like the Passport and KeyOne.

Good Stuff Really cool throwback device Perfect for physical keyboard lovers
Bad Stuff Overpriced No long-term support

New Hardware

To make the BlackBerry Classic compatible with Android, Zinwa replaced its core components to these specifications:

  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G99
  • Memory: 12GB RAM
  • Storage: Up to 256GB
  • Battery: 3000mAh
  • Cameras: 50MP rear, 8MP front
  • Charging: USB Type-C port

The phone retains its touchscreen and BlackBerry’s signature capacitive trackpad.

Software

Blackberry Classic with Android OS

The Zinwa Q25 Pro runs Android 13. However, Zinwa has not committed to any software updates. As such, buyers should view the phone as a nostalgia-driven purchase rather than a future-proof Android device.

The upgraded chipset enables 4G LTE support, but the phone lacks 5G connectivity.

Pricing

Zinwa Q25 Pro is on sale for $400. The first 100 units are expected to ship at the end of August. You can buy the Zinwa Q25 via Zinwa’s website.
