  • Why the QIDI Q2 Stands Out

It’s designed for beginners, 3D design hobbyists, and small workshops that want professional-quality printing without a steep learning curve.

The Q2 combines ease of use with high-end hardware, making it one of the most capable entry-level printers on the market.

QIDI Q2

Smart Auto-Levelling

Bed levelling is often frustrating for new users, but the QIDI Q2 makes it simple. Instead of relying on manual calibration, it uses a nozzle-mounted levelling sensor that adjusts automatically.

This design eliminates errors and ensures accurate prints right from the start.

These components deliver consistent, high-quality results—even during long or complex projects.

Despite its affordability, the Q2’s build quality is far from mediocre. It features:

  • 1.5GT High-Density Timing Belt for smooth, accurate motion.
  • Industrial-grade linear rails that minimise wear and reduce maintenance.
  • All-metal CoreXY frame for stability and durability.

Multi-Colour Printing

One of the Q2’s standout features is its support for the QIDI BOX multi-colour system, which can hold up to four spools at once and print with up to 16 colours. It also includes:

  • Dual-Gear Extruder with hardened steel gears for smooth feeding.
  • 65°C heated drying chamber to keep materials like carbon fiber and glass fibre in perfect condition.
  • Second-generation heated chamber for strong adhesion with materials such as ABS, PC, and PA.
  • 370°C hot end with Ceramic Throat that prevents clogs, even when printing high-temperature composites like PPS-CF.

Compact Size

QIDI Q2 3D Printer

The Q2 is 20% smaller than the Q1 Pro but manages to offer 30% more build volume.

It’s a space-saving design that still gives users plenty of room for ambitious projects. Perfect for homes, schools, and small studios.

Safety Features

QIDI has put a strong focus on safety with the Q2. It comes with:

  • Triple-Layer Air Filtration (pre-filter, HEPA, and activated carbon).
  • Rear vent with optional exhaust ducting for extra protection.
  • International Safety Certifications including MET Labs and IECEE CB compliance.

These features make it safe to use in classrooms, homes, and workshops by reducing fumes and meeting global safety standards.

Future-Ready Design

The Q2 is designed both for the present and the future. QIDI is rolling out a dedicated app and website that will allow for:

  • Remote slicing and one-click printing.
  • Real-time monitoring of print jobs.
  • Upcoming AI Camera Support for automatic failure detection and instant alerts.

Why the QIDI Q2 Stands Out

The QIDI Q2 combines beginner-friendly features with professional-grade performance at a competitive $499 price point.

It can handle everything from basic PLA to advanced composites like carbon fibre.

The QIDI Q2 is available now from the QIDI Official Store with early-bird discounts for subscribers.
