Marques Brownlee is in hot water again, with fans lashing out over his latest video, criticizing it as a sponsored segment for DJI rather than an independent review. The video also showed Brownlee speeding in a sports car on a suburban road.

Brownlee has faced a barrage of criticism from commenters for the sponsored video with many comments describing it as a ten-minute advertisement.”

It had originally shown him exceeding 95 miles per hour in a 35 miles per hour zone and speeding past a sign on the road warning drivers to slow down for children.

    Speeding concerns

The video initially revealed he was driving over 95 mph in a zone with a 35 mph speed limit, and had disregarded a warning sign that indicated the need to slow down due to children in the area.

In response to criticism, Brownlee took action by editing the video to remove the portion featuring his speeding, acknowledging the concerns raised about the clip’s content.

    Once bitten…

Brownlee commented on the video this afternoon, stating he eliminated the “unnecessary driving clip” in response to feedback on the video. He subsequently posted an acknowledgment and apology on X, expressing remorse.

This marks the second time in two months that Brownlee has faced significant backlash from his audience. In September, he was under fire for releasing an expensive wallpaper app which came with privacy and security concerns.
